REVIEWS: I just started reading my old books "Princess Diaries Series" just finished book 1 to 4 today. currently at no. 5. pretty good i supposed, but i feel at the newest ones, its so commercialised? the content quality just zooped downhill. but its still worth a read? just to know if Mia goes with JP or Michael. not revealing here, no spoilers. Guess if you like the MEG CABOT series, you should totally go for "the Mediator" , its pretty much about this teenager and her problems. If you aren't pretty much a fan of reading, but like romance storylines, this will have your interest! First job ever @ RED MANGO. (no names included!) :DD no pictures, sorry. I'm professional- see? I don't use my phone when im working :D I WASHED/SWEPT THE FLOOR/MOPPED/CUT FRUITS/SERVED CUSTOMERS/PLACED SAMPLES/PROMOTED_SAMPLES+VOUCHER/CLEAN TABLE/BE CASHIER/MAKE YOGHURT to sell/BEAT YOGHURT/MAKE SMOOTHIE and LATTE. TODAY! and i wiped the glass windows yesterday. had to climb on chair. haha. Its supposed to be my 2nd day at work:X Its actually training. Yesterday(my 1st day EVER) was a mess. Didn't get to get any hands-on much like kwok or wx? CUSTOMERS: -no one taught me how to serve? it was impromptu. -all the talking & questions? -lucky i read up facebook -RED MANGO and WIKIPEDIA. go wiki>type in RED MANGO FRANCHISE (all you folks still hung up on my dead blog! a shout out to you. RESEARCH before you work) CASHIER: -i was given a lesson on how to type in for the 4 types in a voucher and 5 minutes later, a throng of hungry yoghurt tasters left me to fend for myself at the cashier -luckily luckily! no loss of money! haha count on me:DD im a fast learner. i made 50 cents extra. NOT TOO BAD! -DO NOT. repeat: DO NOT EVER EVER, leave drawer open and unattended! CUTTING FRUITS: -trust me, cutting a ripe mango is not EASY. you have to use a knife, and a somewhat spoilt/hard to cut-peeler, do it fast and be neat. You can't hold it tight or its not edible or PRESENTABLE. And. You're holding a knife. BEWARE blood and fingers. -always ALWAYS wear a glove SMOOTHIE/LATTE & YOGHURT: -never learn finish? shown halfway on mango smoothie. go impromptu. ps. refer to recipe and E's labelling! other fruits- improvise. -hard to make a small cup. but i got the making of yoghurt tip today after observing E yesterday. M does it really well! ( she was here earlier ) -basically i made 3 or 4 tubs of 5 litres yoghurt today. MACHINE?: -super easy to assemble. very systematic. no memorising needed. -washing? SUCKS. you have to drain out ALL THE YOGHURT. SCRUB and WASH IT. and DRY. -put more lubricant! = ensure no black portions from friction. easier to wash. -hard techniqute to remove rings of rubber. each is expensive. PROMOTING? -totally easy, just be polite, daring and helpful. CUSTOMERS are all nice people! thank you! -know your basic facts. ( yoghurt-lactose and fructose, no additional sugar) -know prices, calculate and give customers the best deal! rmb to explain to them. -get them samples to try, if they cant decide, let them have mixed. -rmb to key in and pass them napkins and vouchers for next visit. colleagues? -im not with KY or WX, they're together btw, i got picked for shenton way! -come find me! im at B1-06. just don't come during the peak period. :DD -yeah. im working with auntie M(: met the 3 ICs and bosses:D -always ask you to eat first, but let them go ahead(: You're the new staff. not them. -said i learn quickly! haha. 2 days and i can sorta handle :D but thanks auntie M for help! stood for 12 hours without sitting much. ouch. legs killing me. remedy? yupp. use hairdryer to blow at your feet and knees and aching areas after bath:D |

UPDATES: 1st April 2009. Happy April Fools' Day. Less than 5 mths till 0 LVL. Less than 2 mths till ORAL. Things have been progressing so fast that i have little time to stop and think. Nationals are racing at full force, reaching in slightly more than a week's time. Whats up more? 1.E.V interview in the school taking place from today onwards. 2.Election Campaign and our 5 beloved candidates are: Bianca, Han Jie, Hidayat, Hui Xian and Nicholas ( in alphabetical order ) 3.Sports day 2009 which happens to coincides with nationals. I suppose as the enitre CCA is out for our competition, we will not be taking part in sports day. Ugghhhh. How unfair. 4. ABC campaign. Do visit. tk-anti-bullying.blogspot.com/ for further details. CLASS SEATING ARRANGEMENTS: The past three weeks, including March Holidays have been Hectic! Hectic! Hectic! There are so many changes made to our lessons in class, especially the seating arrangment in class. I have been paired up wth Shi Rong for both Physics and Biology, because of Miss Tan's special arrangement for the enitre class. I know for the past few days I have been harping on changing my seats. But yeah, this isn't anything against you Shi Rong. Sorry if i have offended you. I just wish to seat with the girls ( Belinda and Shirin ) for Physics because I'm used to working with them. For Biology, i just hate seating at the guys' side. At least if Jiayu or Sin Miao was seated somewhere near there, it wouldn't be that bad. And i have to warn you in advance, my physics really really is bad. Out for tuition now. BE BACK at 10 pm |
